Autumn fashion 2019 in the UK
The shops are filling up with lots of lovely clothes now that the weather has turned and the nights are drawing in. At the very least, an assessment of cardigans and jumpers is in order to make sure that you have enough to last the winter, and a new coat may be necessary. Our office has already made the shift to tights and trousers for the most part (except for those few sunny days last week!)
70s retro vibe
A lot of the fashion this autumn still reflects the 70s feeling of the summer with paisley patterns and flowing sleeves in taupe, tan and brown shades. These are accented with lovely plum, peach and cream tones for tops and jumpers and the cowl neck seems to be back in a big way (literally). Another noticeable feature is corduroy, of course, a classic 70s material.
The perfect handbag for autumn
In summer you can get away with a small crossbody bag or purse to hold makeup and phone, but as the days get colder you need a few more accessories; hair accessories to cope with windy wet days, lipsticks and moisturisers, and most importantly room for a scarf and cardigan to save lugging it around when the weather fluctuates.
Handmade fabric handbags
Tote bags and roomy messenger bags are perfect for this crossover season and luckily we produce them in the perfect fabrics for the autumn season; British tweed, brown corduroy, neutral waxed cotton, hounds tooth check and animal prints. We even have waterproof rubber handbags recycled out of tractor tyres.
Washable linings for bags
Our handbags are lined in fun fabrics including travel prints, ditsy daisies, paisley patterns and vibrant stripes. We also have machine washable removable bag linings (which we will make to fit your handbag) in taupe, gold, grey, black, purple, blue and red. These are perfect for when you spill something in your bag or just want to give it a refresh. We hand make everything so if you have a specific idea, tell us about it.
